When to Use
Non-Blue Links
Take a risk and make AdSense link colors something other than blue. But there is a difference between and risk and just doing things for the fun of it...
In a previous article, we talked about how important it is to use only shades of blue links with AdSense ad units. It was a tip that can dramatically increase earnings.
But let's explore when it is appropriate to try different colors.
Matching the Theme. Some websites have put together very beautiful color schemes. In these cases all of the links within your website might be a different color. So it is only fair that your Google AdSense ads also have that same different color. The key is to match the colors to the rest of your website, even if it's not blue.
Header Match. This is an AdSense tip that can either boost your earnings or possibly hurt them. (Thus taking a risk). Let's say you website articles have a green title and then the text is black and links are blue. If an AdSense unit is close to the title, you might consider making the links green also.
It is a very powerful psychological way to tell the user that those green ads are related to the green title.
If you don't want to fully change the color, go ahead and just add it to a multiple palette selection so it shows up randomly...
