So let’s start the monologue, let’s assume you are an AdSense publisher and you’re having trouble even getting to the first $100. If this is the case, then the very first thing you have to do is set the goal to make at least $100 a month. Since Google only pays you on months you make 100+ bucks, this goal will make you money every month.

To make $100 per month, you need an average of around 3.34 dollars per day. Let’s break it down even more, if you can get about 15 clicks per day, each click only needs to make $0.20. Not sounding so bad anymore huh?

So let’s go over a few points that can help you boost your AdSense revenue for the month.

Keep changing. Until you get to that $3-4 per day mark, you are doing everything wrong. Okay maybe not everything wrong, but you definitely have a lot of room for improvement. So fall out of love with your current ad setup. Move ads around, change the colors, try different sizes, change the number of ads per page.

To speed up the process, create some ad-layout plans on a regular piece of paper. Make 3 or 4, and then apply them to different pages in your website. Using URL channels, track the difference in earnings to figure out which layout is proving to be most effective.

More traffic. This one you have probably heard a million times by now. But seriously, don’t spend all your time adding new content, also work on link building. There are many ways to do this, but basically keep submitting your site to free directories (use reciprocal exchange only as a boost at the beginning), sign up for Google Alerts to keep track of new sites related to your topic, participate in forums.

More Content. Not to contradict myself, but also don’t spend all your time building links to a website that hasn’t been updated in weeks. Try to balance it and try to add new stuff at least once a week. Of course more often is better.

Most important, keep at it, read all the information you can, and you’ll see your AdSense earnings hit the $100 mark before you know it...
