Less Graphical Elements

This is an especially touchy subject when it comes to websites featuring AdSense, but one you must consider to maximize your earnings...

Here are the bad news, the "prettier" a website looks, the less likely people are to look and click on ads, including AdSense.

This is simply because too many graphical elements draw users' attention away from text-based ads.

But that is where we run into a problem. Are you seriously going to make your website design use no images whatsoever?

You could make a non-image based website template. But it is very difficult to make it look appealing without at least some graphical elements. There is no point to remove graphical elements to increase AdSense earnings if it's going to drive visitors away.

So there is a balance. Too many graphical elements and your AdSense earnings will suffer. Too few and you run the risk of making an ugly website that will not catch the attention of visitors passing by.

Especially if you're buying website templates for AdSense, make sure they know what they are doing...
